    Depends on how you look at it.

    My understanding is that players have hidden injury ratings on body parts. So a guy with knee surgery could be more susceptible to future knee injuries. Doesn't mean it will happen, but that injury rating has been increased.

    So, technically speaking, Sanchez saved himself a year of potential injury by playing off his legs on the field. What we're seeing with him, however, is that had he played on the field for Denver in 1988, he probably would have missed a lot of time. He was bound to get hurt again and all I did was push it to a later year.
