Cali is on some kind of roll right now.

Oh, and Maine can lose every single game from here on out and will still win the division. Clinching with a month to go, wow.

What did Pete Hudder ever do to anyone? I don't think a second torn rotator cuff injury is a good thing. That sucks Matt.

Only in Batavia my friends...only in Batavia.

Pete Hudder out of Lineup 12 Months
Wednesday, August 30th, 1989: Pete Hudder of the Batavia Muckdogs was injured in today's game against Washington and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn rotator cuff and he is expected to be out for up to 12 months. It happened while Hudder was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."

Season-to-date Hudder has rung up 5 wins and 5 losses in 28 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.66 and has fanned 99 batters in 110 innings.

No, sir. 2nd half meltdowns are our trademark. We're the Mets of the BLB.

                  Karma?

Clay takes offense any time Jim Newlin makes the All-Star team , so what does Newlin do?

                  Game 1: 5 for 6 | 3 R | 6 RBI | 2 HR | 11 TB
                  Game 2: 3 for 5 | 2 R | 5 RBI | 1 2B | 4 TB
Game 3: he decided to take the night off and singled once in 4 trips

                    4-2

                    2-1 vs. Washington
                    2-1 vs. Windy City

                    Good

                    - De Jesus hit .423/.464/.769 with 2 HR's and 8 RBI's. Finally that missing power is coming around.
                    - Team ERA of 2.91 for the week
                    - Our annual run to just below .500 continues
                    - Recent call-up Ruben Marin was rookie of the month

                    Bad

                    - CL Bayer blows 2 more saves but gets 2 wins out of them when the offense responds. His ERA is now at 2.51.
                    - OF Marin hit .087 for the week. 23 AB's, 2 hits, 1 HR.

                    On Deck

                    - 3 @ Balt
                    - 4 vs. Cali

                    Only in Batavia

                    - Our new slogan fits right in with SP Pete Hudder tearing his rotator cuff. Recently acquired when the Muckdogs traded star 1B/DH Jud Cobb, Hudder was coming off an injury and many figured he would regain his old form next season. Not to be though as Hudder now joins the long list of pitchers who have either suddenly lost all ability during the off-season or became injured (Chet Stephens, Zander Walters, Pat Hamilton, Tad Crossman).

Another 1-5 week for the Tobs. We aren't coming out of this slide anytime soon. We're probably the worst team in the league, finished August a blistering 8-19.

Series against Davenport coming up, so that should finally take care of our division lead.

I don't understand this game sometimes.

Hate is such an ugly word. Can we get this downgraded to "strongly dislike" or maybe even "hold contempt for"?
