It must have been Brawler history week, Russ picks up his 200th win and Solis hits for the cycle.

        We're only 6 back now.

          Baltimore Bulldogs (56-55)

          2-1 vs MOR
          0-3 vs DAV

          THE GOOD

-- Its hard to find anything that we did well this week. Lets start with another good week out of Ivan Garcia (2B). He is really embracing his role as our premier leadoff hitter. .353/.450/.382 for the month of August.

-- Last week I complained about the performance of the catcher position at the plate. This week is was almost everyone else.

          .136/.240/.136 at 1B (Pat Washington)
          .158/.333/.211 at SS (Curt Boyd)
          .200/.304/.200 at CF (Takanibu Sato)

These are usually my 3/4/5 hitters. No wonder we were swept by Davenport.

-- Tim Nathan was lights out against his former mates in Davenport. He goes 8 IN, 9 H, 1 ER, 5 K in.......a 6-0 loss? The bullpen gives up 5 runs in the 9th inning and our offense was non-existent. It was depressing to watch that game.

          ON-DECK

-- Next up we face Windy City and Washington in our quest for perpetual mediocrity.
