  • SIM COMPLETE - 1989 - Regular Season 15

    Next sim: Monday

The trade deadline will be during Wednesday's sim. Even though Monday's sim takes us to July 31st, I will still be able to process pre sim trades on Wednesday.

    Memo to Syracuse: STOP!

4-2 sim does nothing. Haha. The Slammers are rolling.

Guess my team is still waiting for their bats to arrive.

Very interested to see how waiver claim Tsu-wee Xi will function as the new closer. Scout has him with great ratings and he had a good week for Pawtucket.

Curt Goodwin was lights out as closer though... so it'll be tough to move him away from the spot.

      Hope it all works out.

My team ERA is up over a run from last season. My starters ERA for the week.

          Stephens - 21.60
          Sasaki - 18.00
          Walters - 5.06
          Coronda - 4.85
          Athey - 1.59

Add that with that fact that Bayer blows 2 saves against Virginia when he had 1 the previous 30 games and it's just not our year to do anything right.

I'm the opposite. I went 2-5 and I think I gained a game in the division.

2-4 for the Tobs. Tough sim against California and Philadelphia and our bats were cooled off a bit. Bovey hit 3 HRs on the week but they are solo shots. Albors hit pretty well in his return to the lineup so that's encouraging.

I also liked seeing Gauina and Abe both throwing very good games, though we wasted Gauina's by not scoring any runs.

I don't think we lost any of our lead in the division, so that's the most important thing.

With the rest of your division actively selling at this point, you should go to an 8-man rotation.

I don't mind the illnesses but some of the off the field injuries are dumb:

Playing golf and football on a game day:

Batavia Muckdogs: MR J. Franklin was injured while playing golf. The Diagnosis: elbow inflammation. He's expected to miss about 1-2 weeks.

Pittsburgh Millers: MR J. Hunter was injured while playing football. The Diagnosis: herniated disc (neck). He's expected to miss about 2 weeks.

I'm surprised they admitted that so quickly. The file needs more "I was washing my truck and hurt my elbow" injuries.
