    3-0 for the Tobs.

Britt Bovey is on fire. 11 RBI in this series against Morgantown, giving him 18 RBIs in 9 games since we traded for him.

Pete Miller was the Player of the Game at the All Star Game. Yeah, it was that kind of sim.

Once again I blame the loss on IL mismanagement. How do you let Ken Bayer go 4.2 when you have Starters available???? AI or no AI... I blame Smear.

The DL players were not happy with IL GMs suggesting the game would be a blowout.

Geez I know he's in front of the home crowd but 92 pitches for Bayer. I heard screams from the home GM box after he got past 30 to "take him out...take him out!"

At least Joe "I'm Too Good For Batavia" Ponte gave up the losing jack...even if Bayer did get credited with the loss.

Oh ya...and we went 0-3 with 2 extra inning losses and a 3-2. All our pitchers are tired so we get one day off...then 23 games in 23 days...is that even possible?

The MLBPA allows either 21 or 23 (can't remeber which but I think it's 23) straight scheduled games before a forced off day.

I'll one-up you...25 games in 25 days. I seem to remember reading we use the same schedule every year? I think that's right because I remember a long string of games in a row like this.

Is there any way for us to amend the schedule so that teams don't play more than X number of games in a row? I think 20+ is a bit much and asking for injuries.

The schedule is the same but there are 3 that get rotated so we play a different division in interleague. If somebody can find a better schedule, let me know. I would have no issues with switching it as long as the basics are the same.

                            California Kodiaks (49-36)
                            3-0 vs. Los Alamos

                            THE GOOD

-- Rajanna goes yard - Tony Rajanna only got one at bat this week, but he made it a big one as he hit an eventual game winning home run to right field. Rajanna has been on a cold streak the entire year as he adjust to being a bench player... but maybe this is the start of something good.

-- Tsuji comes up strong in the clutch - With Owen Gilbertson out for two weeks with a banged up foot, Shoko Tsuji took his spot in the lineup and produced the best week of all the Kodiak hitters .250/.500/.625/1.125 with a double, a triple and four walks. I'm pleased with his output and hope he can put up similar numbers next sim.

-- Goodwin closes it out - Two saves opportunities for new closer Curt Goodwin, two saves in the bank. Oddly enough, Goodwin went from a 6 'stuff' rating as a starter to a 5 rating when I switched his position from SP to CL... never seen that happen... in fact, was expecting it to jump to a 7... either way, he was nails in the ninth and, at least for now, he's got the position on lockdown.

                            THE BAD

-- The bats are still on vacation - Apparently my team forgot to bring their bats back with them from vacation. A line of .223/.309/.351/.660 is not going to cut it when we're in a tight race for the Porter crown.

-- ... and so are the gloves - I'm at a loss for words when it comes to describing my teams defense. My infield is filled with guys that feature 8 range and great arms... yet my teams BABIP is by far the worst in the IL at .324. I really don't understand why we're not making more plays... bad dice rolls, I guess.

                            THE UGLY

-- Aguilara is drowning in suck - Right now, Joe Aguilara can't buy a perfect inning. I really think that all it'd take is one inning to snap him from this cold streak... but no matter what happens, he hasn't been able to work through it yet. I still have faith in him, I just hope that faith is eventually rewarded.

                            ON-DECK

Tough week coming up. First, we host Carolina and red hot Britt Bovey and then we head east to take on Davenport for three games. We always have tough times against the Bock teams, I'm sure this week will be no different.

                              "Finally!"

Jose Sanchez is ready to make his Bats debut! He is returning from a broken kneecap. Still hurt for five days, but he will be playing shortstop late in the week.
