Good sim to hopefully get us back on track. A sweep @ Philadelphia and winning 2/3 against Virginia.
Our lineup was great this sim. In only one game did we score less than 7 runs (3 in that one). Bovey drove in 7 runs in his first week in Carolina. Hamlet had 3 HRs and 11 RBI on the week. Jimmy Joy hit .370 on the week.
The series against Virginia was wild with 49 combined runs. Bovey delivered the game winning double in game 3 to give us the series win.
I like my lineup, especially with Albors getting back next sim. It's not the best in the IL, but we should be able to score some runs. Our pitching is still questionable, particularly the bullpen but this should be the best offense we've had in years.Washington Bats, 2013-

1-5
We come limping into the All-Star break and this basically dooms us for this season. I was holding out faith we might make a run and get back to around .500 but sad to say another down year in Batavia.
Good
- SP Zander Walters didn't get the win but he pitched 6 innings with 0 ER. He's still 3-0 on the year after being called up.
- De Jesus finally breaks out of his sophomore slump by hitting .478/.500/.739 for the week and then promptly gets hurt.
- We hit 7 HR's in 6 games...a power surge for the Muckdogs!
- SP Sasaki actually gets a win...7 IP, 9 K's, 0 ER
Bad
- SP Corondo has a nice 12.86 ERA for the week...now an overall of 6.04. Good thing I signed him to that nice contract a few months back.
- Up 6-1 against Morgantown and our bullpen proceeds to give up 9 runs and we lose.
- Up 2-1 against Washington and our bullpen gives up 4 runs...and we lose.
On Deck
- The All-Star game comes to Batavia. Hopefully CL Ken Bayer gets to show his stuff in front of the home crowd!
