It's a crime. Newlin has been good...great even... but besides OBP, is he really having a better year than Nino?

I'm waiting on Friday's sim to make my votes, but I know Pedro Zamarida will be the starting 3B. I think his first half is a f- you to the voters last year that skipped over him.

He didn't even get an MVP respect from anyone here. I hope he hits 40 home runs into the IL sunset.

Obviously your question was rhetorical, but the answer, I think, is yes. I could be wrong though.

What's interesting about that pairing is the home/road splits.

Have you seen how good those guys are on the road?! Unreal.

Yeah, saw that. Our park is death to hitters (this year and historically).

So little things like Hits, Runs, HRs, RBI... none of these are a factor?

Runs and RBI's mean nothing. They are team stats.

Here's Newlin's stats with runners in scoring position

                            .387/.506/.581/1.087

                            Here are Nino's

                            .286/.356/.403/.758

How do you in one sentence say that stats that hinge on other players are insignificant, then throw up RISP... the ultimate stat the hinges on other players?

Technically, it's still an individual stat. The opportunity is brought by other players, but the stat is actually based on the individual. While stats, such as RUNS, are not.

Although, I do disagree with Linty. I think R, HR, RBI, H, are all important stats. But, Newlin is just having the better season.
