Our one and only Bush League All-Star, Gus Jenkins (SP), was rewarded not with a trip to the game, but with a trip to Battle Creek as he has been promoted to the Lautering Union's Battle Creek Flakes.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

I had one Futures Federation All-Star, Ivan Marques.

Which leads into my next question. After 5-6 or six seasons in my minors, my scout still has no faith in Marques, although he's performed every year at every level and OSA says he should be at least average.

So here's the question, have you ever traded away a player that your scout said was untalented or just marginally talented, and he went on to be a solid big leaguer for another club?

My scout wasn't very high on Larry Fitzsymonds when I dealt him. He's no all-star but he's been pretty solid in Washington.

Cristian Martinez put up a big year in Virginia. He's never come close to matching it, but my scout didn't think he had any future.

For me, it's Denver catcher Scott Borkholder.

A week after the trade he got one of those old OOTP "rating boosts." And then he got a second one at the end of the season.

He went from fringe prospect to top 25 in about a month.

Maybe he didn't like that you kept spelling his first name with two Ts. :)

He doesn't even remember me. After the trade and those two system report boosts, he is a completely different player.

                He felt repressed in D.C.

I'm convinced that he was white when he was in your system and then the next season the updated pictures made him black. I could be wrong, but I think Borkholder paid a black man to take his place.

Looks like Pawtucket, Hartford, and Los Alamos all suck.

I think I got it...spent too much time on it.
