Just a question...my OOTP machine isn't an enormous beast anymore, but it is a very good machine.
I recently decided to see if that was having an impact on my system since OOTP 2006 routinely grabbed 90%+ of the processor. I initially thought it was because I was jumping around asking for data and the like all the time as well as when I ran sims and that the excessive updating was what was doing it.
Well...I figured that was wrong when I noticed that I was idle in OOTP while working and still pegging the CPU.
CPU hit dropped to next to nothing unless I do a SIM.
Did Markus and co rework the ticker in 2007?
FYI for anyone who hasn't already...might as well turn off the ticker...not worth the performance hit.
