Philadelphia Freedom(15-11, 1.0 GB) - Sim #4
1-1 vs Batavia
1-1 @ Baltimore
3-0 @ Morgantown
The Good
- Joe Seagarra had his first decent week of the season. .444|.545|1.056|1.601|3 HR|9 RBI|0 K. It's fairly tough to slug 1.056 for any stretch without striking out.
- Jim Newlin kept his good start going: .364|.517|.682|1.199|2 HR|8 RBI|6 BB
- Super Sub Pete Summers seems to have found a groove in his role on the team. He plays almost as much as a full time player and he's producing enough to warrant the increased playing time. This week: .400|.471|.600|1.071|1 HR|
- Doug "Light" Miles picked up the first (of what we hope will be many) victories in the BLB.
The Bad
- Mark Melanson will hit the shelf for 2 more weeks with an injury. He was filling the role perfectly that we had envisioned for him. Take the ball, give us some innings and give us a chance to win. We probably shift to a 5 man rotation while he's out.
- Cristian Correa had his first rough outing as a SP. 6ER and 8 HA in 2.1 IP. His ERA rose from 1.96 up to 4.35 in the short outing.
- Ben Irvin. 3 really bad starts in a row for him. This week he had 2 starts for a combined 12.1 IP and 13 ER. Amazingly, posted a 1-1 record for the week. He needs to get back on track soon.Philly Freedom

5-2 (10-16)
Our new hats make a premier...and we have our first winning sim...coincidence we think not!
Good
-We're finally not getting the insane K to BB ration we had last year on offense
- 6 HR's in 7 games is a power surge for us
- Nobody had an ERA of over 5.50 for the week...not bad when we've had 10 and 16 the last few weeks
Bad
- We lost Jud Cobb for a few weeks...he's currently tied for the lead for HR's in the BLB
- Sasaki throws 2 decent games and gets losses in both of them
- (De) Jesus is hitting a lovely .238 for the year...sigh!
