It is what it is. It sucks I don't get the pick, and I lose a player I would've been happy to bring back at 40% of his original asking price. I've always hated that about this game.
I like Jistic's idea, too.

New Rule: If a compensation eligible player is signed after the start of Spring Training, the team is awarded compensation in the NEXT years draft.
boom.

I would really like to trade up. I pick at 4.1 and I'm willing to move multiple ppicks to get my guy.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

I have one guy I really want. If I don't get him with my next pick, I'll trade down.

It's possible he could be Hall of Fame material. His aggressive approach could result in a .350/.430/.530 season. Not many teams have a hitter with these skills.
He's not my normal style player, but I love his upside and his advanced ratings. My scouts see him as less of the prototypical Colonials... but actually more like a Washington Bat. 7-8-4-7-8. High OBP guy who isn't going to beat you with the long ball, but could still give you 10-12 a year. Could easily be fast-tracked for the loss of Vincent Nino after '91.The Great One!

I'm starting to feel guilty about how clearly I'm 'winning' this draft. I apologize to all of you. It's like I feel like I'm the only one in the league that knows exactly how the game works and I'm using it to my advantage. Of course, I say that jokingly because God knows that that would NEVER happen in any of SGN's leagues. The Great One!

Are you going by your scout or are you just picking the guys you think will work out based upon your exp playing this game?OSFL: Lake County Extreme 2008-2028, 2010 Champions
