  • Farmer was the top pitcher left on my board. I have a couple concerns about him but I was probably going to pick him at 2.6

Taking a look now, should have a pick in the next couple minutes.

I was really hoping Newton would fall a little further. He was #5 on my scout's list. BAL is on the clock.

I almost took him with my sandwich pick, my scout is high on him putting him 9th on his list. I had him as the fifth best hitting prospect in the draft. He's hit pretty well in college so that's a plus.

I'm happy with Gonzalez, Kim and Newton in this draft based on my scout's ratings. Three of the best hitters available from what he says. Hopefully I'll be able to snag a pitcher eventually but I haven't been enamored with too many in this draft.

            • Clay with another steal in Del McMillan. McMillan is the most advanced hitter in the draft and could possibly move quickly if his contact rating comes along.

              • Anyone hoping to make McMillan a starter will be disapointed, but I could see him having a future as a role player.

                • McMillan is a dominant offensive player who could anchor any lineup for years to come. It's possible he could be Hall of Fame material. His aggressive approach could result in a .350/.430/.530 season. Not many teams have a hitter with these skills.

                  • Not real excited with my pick. Didn't think my pick would come up til tomorrow. Logged on & had about 10 minutes to pick & only one guy on my board. After opening the game & downloading the league file only had about 5 minutes to pick. Oh well, I guess it's better than being on auto.

I don't think I can add sandwich picks after the draft has started.

Do I just make the pick on the forum? Do I still get a pick?

We don't really have a rule for it to be honest. I never thought we'd see a situation like this come up.

                          • Considering we often wait til ST or the start of the season to sign some guys that want big money, just so we can get them a little cheaper, it was bound to happen.

So...I'll take that as a "Sorry about your luck".

                            Awesome....

Well it's either that, or re-start the draft. You make it sound like it was obvious that this was going to happen yet the issue was never raised until now.
