  • Washington's Pick - Pryor = meh... #21 Pitcher, but at least on my radar for the mid-rounds

Los Lunas's Pick - Saldana = #5 Pitcher. Love this pick. True Closer. No convert here.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

    • With the last pick in the first round, the Washington Bats select...

      Cy Prior
SP - 18 years old - Heritage Eagles - Florida

My scout has him rated 4-6-8 potential. He had him as the #4 potential player and #4 according to his draft list. He is raw and will take awhile, but there is a lot to love:

      -Decent ground ball (57%)
      -Great endurance (7)
      -Good enough velocity for a 4-stuff (90-92)
-High work ethic (7) and intelligence (6)
-Shown improvement from his Junior season
-OSA has him 4/5/6 potential. My scout, the draft list and OSA has him rated as a legit BLB player. With great upside.

Plus, he pitched a 4-hit shutout against my High School team just a few weeks ago.

      • Of course my scout likes the WAS pick. 2nd highest rated SP on the board after Dimmick.

        • My scout likes Saldana. 6-6-4. If his control develops he should be a lights out closer. 97MPH cheese. 70% groundball. Very solid.

                  • My scout loves Kim, #4 hitter on my board based on potential. Only 17, has a lot of time in the minors ahead of him if he ever makes it. But if my scout is right, he could be a really good player.

I pick again real soon, so its worth a shot.

Wanna give me Gates for a 10th rounder and a ham sandwich? You know you've been dying to make one of these trades for ages. Be the first.
