I just want to find a scout drinking the same Kool Aid as Davenport...looking back at some of the recent drafts I think he's one of the better scouts. If his scout really is similar to Denver that doesn't bode well for the Pilsner.
Where did everyone have Gates? I was really interested in him too.Dallas Snappers

Windy City Playboys MR ngelo Gonzles - Not familiar.
Davenport Brawlers SS Gus Brown - 5/5/2/6/5 - Reminds me of Pete Summers, now in Philly.
Mississippi Storm 2B Robby Bowen 2B 5/5/4/5/4 - #16 prospect
Indianapolis Clowns RF Thom Gates - Not familiar.
Hartford Whalers SP Pancho Snchez - Only two pitches, but my scout has him 7-7-7. Potential lights-out closer.
Denver Bulls SP Ral Soto - #10 prospect. 4-6-5
Los Alamos Bandits SP Don Richmond - Not familiar.
Maine is up, then my pick. I have two players that I really, really like, so I'm ok if Andrew takes one of them.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Like me, your scout liked Soto and Bowen. But, you didn't even look at Gates or Richmond.
Mind boggling. I think no scout is really alike. I think the closest scout is maybe 50% similar to another scout. That's where it ends because I didn't have Davenport's pick anywhere near my list.
Also, it's probably important to ask how many guys are going strictly scout.
I have my ordered list by scout, but then I eliminated players from the list that didn't fit my personal standards. So, some guys move up higher because of that.Denver Bulls

I also had Conley as the #2 hitter on my board after Pepe. Bolam was #3, so I like that pick as well.
Still, it looks like 5 of my top 10 are still on the board. My scout must be seeing something different with these guys or they'd be long gone by now.
I'm glad to see so many others see Pepe as a top player in the draft. Lets hope it works out that way.Washington Bats, 2013-
