You and I know that no one is going to trade up in the next three picks. Just pick your guy and let him become the next Virginia draft bust.

Who was the last Virginia draft bust? Van Adel? I think my record over the last few seasons has been pretty OK.

I'm giving it a few more minutes, then I'm picking.

I either take the #1 Hitter on my board by Scout.... the one I like slightly more personally, but he's had an injury (which scares me).... or the International guy who screams Colonial... but is a gamble.

Since I do believe it's the same guy, I don't think that injury is something to worry over. It's minor. I think the kid is oozing with talent.

          • Pulled the trigger....

            Virginia selects at 1.14....

            Doug Bolam
            Catcher
            HS

Scout loves him. I don't disagree. I think he has a ton of potential. He's 18, so I have time to work with him. With was more speed than a normal Catcher, I think I'm going to be able to turn him into a decent LF (I don't need more C's).

Tough call for me, but I'm not ruling out one of the other two still being there next round.

Doesn't mean anything, just throwing it out for reference. #47 on my scout's board.

Nope... drafted well in OOTP 10 with the same Scout last year... I'll stick with what's working.

Does your scout also like to meet new acquaintances in the second stall over from the urinals in The Brass Rail Restaurant?

Maybe it's good that Ortega is going to Wilmington.
