  • SIM COMPLETE - 1980 - Sim 25

1 week left! Maine and Hyundai clinch, and Baltimore's magic number is 1. Carolina still has a shot, although not a good one.

I will be rooting for the Tobs, but they are going to need a lot of help.

Windy City has Wilmington and California.

Carolina has Los Alamos and Baltimore.

        Ya, a lot of help.

Baltimore > Wilmington and Los Alamos > California.

        But anything can happen.

3 back with 7 to play? I guess stranger things have happened, but it's a longshot for sure. Windy City should beat California, so I'm going to need a 7-0 week probably. Our late July slump doomed us.

Ponte came back and pitched a 1 hitter, with 9 Ks in only 93 pitches. Great performance by him.

In other good news for the Tobs, Will Porter continues to hit the ball well. He's batting .354 since I called him back up when Murcott went down.

For anyone who cares, the Tobs are 10-7 vs Los Alamos and 6-4 vs Baltimore this season. Windy City is 6-5 vs Wilmington and 15-1  vs California.

Not looking too good. All 7 of my games are at home at least.

Clinched, but losing Rumsey, Monterola, and Merriam is gonna hurt a bunch come playoff time. I just hope I don't get swept.

I told you the teams in that division were padding their records against California....

For anyone who cares, Pete Kellum is leading in all three triple crown categories with a week to play. Big lead in average, +2 in HR, +2 in RBI. Should be an interesting final week.

You have 3 coming up in Virginia National Park. Should pump the average and the RBIs, but might hurt your chance to pad the HR number.

So that's how it is huh?

Well we just need to hold on. Seems like we're running out of steam a little bit.

Looking to see if McOwl can get 2 more wins which would give us 3 20 game winners.

When he retires we need to change the Stout Slugger award to the Pete Kellum award.

My best record is actually against Virginia, 12-2. Of course I'm also 16-4 against California.

                            Just being honest.

I want to see different teams in the playoffs. Tired of the BLB's Buffalo Bills.

That's ok, I don't mind being the Miami Hurricanes of BLB.....minus the championships of course..
