Pawtucket isn't gonna to have anyone left for the rotation if they keep only 8 pitchers on the active roster the rest of the spring. They need to sign some minor leaguers too. Only 5 guys in AAA.

                  No, it doesn't.

Now we just need Carlton and maybe two others to suffer the same fate and the Stout is up for grabs!

I know it's just spring training... but...

If you could see the smile on my face right now, you'd think my wife still went down. Sorry to the kids out there.

11-4 sim. No major injuries. No bad surprises, but a couple good ones.

                    Dani Rodriguez, 18-47, 3 HR, 1.210 OPS.
My catcher BFFs, Cannell and Underwood, 1.081 and 1.041 OPS respectively.
                    Joe Aurillo, 3 starts, 2-0, 12.0 IP, 12 Ks, 1 BB, 2 H allowed, 0.00 ERA.

My weak bullpen took another hit as Eric McCoy is out for a month with a hamstring injury

                      This is unfortunate

We managed to go through the first sim without any injuries, so nothing to complain about here.

Not going to read anything into it, but we had a couple guys hit well. Our bullpen was the disaster I'm fearing it will be.

Geez I looked at Last Sim and thought we went 3-12 and figured here we go again.

Then I realized I wasn't logged in and was looking at Baltimore.

Ahhhhhhhh...Spring Training... the ultimate bittersweet SIMs.

So nice to have real boxscores to look at again....

Yet... you look at each one just praying that you don't see an injury...

So nice to be able to see some stats....

Yet.... Spring Training stats are so meaningless in the big picture...

                            Good times... good times.

One short injury to the Colonials. 4 days of day-to-day for Dale O'Hegarty for a sore leg. It is what it is. My starters will all be going to the bench for the second half of Spring Training. They'll still be exposed to possible injuries coming off the bench, but I'm giving the youngsters all of the starts for these last 8 games. Also taking my 1-2-3 out of the rotation completely to make sure they're rested and ready for Batavia in the opening set.

The Bats obviously lost Sanchez for the next four months but they also lost RP Grant Lewis for the rest of ST. He has a week long day-to-day injury, but the last thing I need is a 37 year old playing in ST with an injury.

For the rest of ST, I'll probably just alternate starter/backup the rest of the way.
