This is something that I think SHOULD really balance well as the Feeder League system continues over the years. Having these draftable players with 2-3 years of game action, I think we're going to get a truer picture of who they are. Which, in turn, is a more accurate representation of real baseball (IMO).
I think this is how it works as well. There are some talent changes but in the current version they are mostly related to injury.

Considering that you bashed my team in Interleague last year, I have no comeback.

I just have to make sure my team knows to answer back with their bats.

Sooooo... what were the best moves of the off-season? Biggest trades? Biggest signings? Who improved the most? Who regressed the most?

          Washington Adds:
          Alveraz, Sanchez, Fitts, Emerson

          Washington Lost:
          O'Fallon, Summers, McEvoy

I think I lost more than I gained, in terms of the '89 season.

            Virginia Lost:
Simmonds, Coleman (BLB/AAA Tweener) and Nakagawa

            Virginia Added:
Two Top 70 Prospects, The #2 overall pick, and financial freedom

I'm WAAAAAAY worse on paper for this season, but (I feel) WAAAAAAAY better off big picture. My season will be won and lost on if my Starting 5 developed.

              Davenport Lost:

Steve Bing, Derrick Tucker, Tyrone Abbott, Ivan Garcia, 2nd round pick, Don McNeill, some cash

              Davenport Added:

              Russ McEvoy, Tim Nathan

Definitely gave up a lot of youth. We have a nice young core of infielders at the BLB level who are ready to win now. Hopefully the veteran rotation can give us the push we need.

Lots coming off the books again next year (Gugierrez, Nathan, Elliott).

All discussion begins with Sin City, Davenport and Syracuse. Not saying they got better or worse (that's an opinion). But, they acquired significant names and everyone is wondering how they'll compete.

                  Baltimore Adds:

Late 2nd round Pick, 1B prospect-Don Castor and as Clay coined it, "financial freedom"

                  Baltimore Loses:

                  future HOF-Wilton Harcourt

Harcourt was up in age and I don't think his bat alone would have made us a contender this year. Last year was our year to make it or bust. I think we are a thorn in Cali/Philly side in '89 but not much more. However my payroll for 1990 is only 43 million.

                  Short Term: Definitely worse
                  Long Term: Definitely better

Mississippi lost: MR Pedro Fuentes, MR Joe Jaureguy, CF Nick Latham, 2B Chaim Lamberts, 1B Don Castor (A)

Mississippi gained: 2B Wilton Harcourt, RF Joe Macknight, MR Max Oliver/Zach Murray

All in all, I expect the offense to be much better this year. The MR is the big wildcard but I have the financial flexibility to make a move if needed. Chewning will be moved to the bench this year to accomodate Macknight. On paper, the offensive upgrades really make this team more dangerous. I already feel I have a top 5 rotation in the league so hopefully they keep it up.

I'm also thinking about writing an article about this. It won't be my Carlos Hernandez. Been thinking of introducing some fake writers to the league. Characters, gimmicks, personalities. Those types.

I tried this on the very first article I wrote for the BLB and someone scrubbed the fake byline off my submission.

                              I love Sin City's moves.

I tend to have a favourite team in the DL but its changing year to year. Last year I was rooting for Indy, this year its Sin City.

SC really made an effort to get better and there should be a big difference on the field. Kraft, Parongao, and Simmonds really gives them an identity. I still stand by my prediction that Sin City makes the playoffs and Von Haynes is the one leading the charge.

Well, I really want to be serious about it. I won't go the faux route just to draw laughs or be stupid.

I just like the idea of having differing opinions on similar topics. Something to continue opening up the SGN world.

Of course, if Philly's post is an indication that this is frowned upon then it won't happen.
