Has anyone ever had success calling up AA guys?

As in, finding a perminant starter?
    Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
    Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

It's looking like I might try and find room for Ken Freestone, he's been doing great. Ever heard of him??? :D

I can't believe you never called him up to AAA.

          Status of my callups:

          SP Bill Gillespie
          1st start: 7IP, 3H, 0ER, 4BB, 8K - W
          2nd start: 6IP, 6H, 4ER, 2BB, 9K - L

He will get two more starts this next sim, but unless he gets dominated in both, he will be in the starting rotation for next year, which is very exciting.

          SP Terry Mayfield
          1st start: 6.1IP, 6H, 3ER, 1BB, 3K
          2nd start: 6IP, 7H, 3ER, 1BB, 3K - L

Mayfield is the wildcard. I would rather go with him than any other SP in my organization, but if he doesn't really prove me something with his final start, I will probably try to land a SP through FA.

          SS Bob Sanders
Currently hitting .229 with a .655 OPS in 105 ABs. I expected better, but I think he will still be my starting 3B on opening day. If anything, he is a great defensive player.

          2B Andrew MacGilledon
Hitting .429 with a 1.242 OPS in 21 ABs. Likely will be used in the UTL role for next season.

          1B Roku Nakano
Hitting .264 with a .724 OPS in 53 ABs. He has hit well, but he hasn't done so well with playing LF. I will likely send him back down to AAA and shop him in the off-season.

          CF Napler Soloeano
Hitting .313 with .701 OPS in 16 ABs. I will use him as a 4th or 5th OF.
          Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
          Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

While he's not a true September call-up since he's been bouncing back and forth between AAA and BLB all season, Will Porter has been excellent so far playing full time. He's hitting .354 as a starter, batting leadoff. Also hit for the cycle this week.

Gil O'Moore is 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA in 5 starts so far. My scouts have him at about a 53 OVR right now, up from a 40 when I called him up. There's a good chance he'll make my postseason roster, although probably not in a starters role.

My call-ups are bad. My team is bad. My park is huge. I'm married to Eric Cafferty until the tail-end of the Reagen administration.

                  Are we having fun yet???

And I won the season series.

I know. My team completely fell apart after I started trading away pieces. We lost all of our spunk (hehehe) when I went into full-on rebuild. Seems to have had the oppo effect on your team.

My entire team just started out really, really slow. My April record was a complete joke. So many of my hitters hit near .150 the entire month.

If I had stuck it out with my guys, and been a buyer not a seller, I am sure my team would of been around the 85 win mark at this point. But thus, that still wouldn't of been close to being enough.

I don't think I have a chance to compete until I get into a real ballpark. I have no idea what my team is capable of. The frickin' AVG Factor in my homefield is something like .760. What the hell was GIGGAS thinking!?!?!? It's a good park for doubles and triples.... but he stocked it with slow runners. And pitchers... but pitchers need run support that simply can no come in this park.

I know... broken record.... piece of shit field.

To be honest, I would rather have yours then mine.

Mine is built for the long ball and bad for pitchers. My team is speed, pitching and defense.
