No, you would just have College guys.

I think the only restriction would be before they got to the minors.

Some guys would eventually declare for the draft, while others would just fade away.

So... here's my proposal. I want a me in the game. :)

I was to take an existing player the is going to my HS with a birthday on or around 3/12/73 and change his name to Clay Shaver. I know... it geeky.... but I think it would be fun to track if we added ourselves as our birthdates came up.

Just throwing my .02 cents in.

I don't like the idea of adding us as players.

I'd rather keep the draft pool as is.

But I wanted to play in my HS which is in the game! We could say I was a dumb jock and graduated in '89 I guess.

I like the idea of each of us having a player in the game. I think Andrew and Linty were in a chat around the trading deadline with me and I mentioned the idea. It got really quiet in there after that, lol.

Just to be clear... I'm not suggesting we ADD any players. What I suggested was really nothing more than a name change.

Just thinking outloud about more immersion. Not a big deal at all.

But wouldn't it make it really awkward in a few years when young Clay Shaver doesn't quite live up to expecations and "He's a piece of Gremades" is replaced by "He's a piece of Shaver"? Will you be able to handle that?

That's the most appealing part to me.

I guess a piece of shaver would be an appealing part to you.

I'd be all for editing a player...it would be fun. I started HS in '93. You'd have to pick one though who's last name starts with the same letter though, no searching for hours.

My suggestion is that you pick one closest to your actual B-Day.... that way ONLY the name is changed.... maybe you can change the hometown.... but don't even change the birthday.
