League Logo

I thought I'd attempt to come up with a league logo. I don't know where Andrew could put it (I put it on the game start-up screen and it looked pretty good).

I tried to put as much thought into as possible and have meaning behind some of the things on it relating to the league and it's history. Here's a couple of tidbits (my intent was to include as much of the league's history as written by Jistic):

• It's meant to resemble a beer label in shape and style.
  
  -The "D" and "I" in the crest represent the Domestic and Import leagues.
  
  -Home plate with the crossed bats represents that it is a baseball league.
  
  -The beer barrel represents the league's history and inception based on beer.
  
  -"Founded 1922" represents the year the BLB was created.
  
  -The "VXIII" represents the 18th Amendment, which led to prohibition, which led to the invention of near beer, which led to the inception of the BLB.
  
  -The "0.5% Alc. Vol." represents the league's inception based on the product "Near Beer" and it's alcohol content.
  
  "Ale", "Bock", "Lager", and "Stout" are the four divisions within the BLB.

I would've liked to have been able to use a different font for "League Baseball", but I could only find the "Heineken" font for free. I really liked these two fonts:

....but I'm not paying $18 and $35 respectively for fonts. If anyone can track them down through file sharing software or other means I'd appreciate it.

Please feel free to give me some constructive criticism or suggested changes. I'm not bashful and you won't hurt my feelings....trust me.

I like it. Only suggestion is to change the font for the D & I. When I saw that I immediately thought Detroit Tigers.

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\logos

(Where "C" is the hard drive that OOTP is installed on. Be sure to back up the old SI logo that is in that folder first so you don't overwrite it. I renamed it "old_logo".

I like it. Gives it a "customized" feel to the game.

I also put it in the game replacing the old BLB logo and played around with the HTML file to make it a little bigger. It doesn't look too bad.
