  • SIM COMPLETE -1988 - Offseason 1.5

    Next sim: Monday

Sorry for the delay. I found a bug in the Cash Reserve utility that needed to be fixed before posting the sim.

What is the game date? I was on 11/30 and after updating in-game I am now on 11/22...

Also the option that I decided on is still available to me in my messages...

It was 11/3 before now 11/22. Not sure about the option message. I'm not sure how long those stay in the inbox before you can't act on them anymore.

I'm absolutely shocked that Pedro Zamarida won a Glove Wizard Award at 3B. It must be a mistake.

So what do we have to do for this sim?

Do we need to make sure our 40 man roster is set up?

Go to BLB on the top menu, select Salary Arbitration. Enter the $$'s you want to offer in arbitration to each player listed, hit submit. If you don't want to offer a player arbitration, hit withdraw. That means he will not be on your team next season and he will hit FA.

Careful on the amounts you offer, too low and the player will "win" his arbitration hearing and you will be stuck paying whatever amount is decided upon, which will be higher than your offer, sometimes considerably higher.

I believe if you fail to do anything the game will enter the default Team Offers for you.

I'm kinda confused how we had to have our 40 man rosters set after this. I blew off the BLB this weekend thinking I was good to go.

Can we have a 2.5 sim tomorrow night to fix this possibly? If I'm the only one then so be it...such is life.

I had missed it until I read it about 20 minutes before the sim.

Yeah but you guys have been in the league for a few seasons now, you know that the rule 5 draft is coming up. I shouldn't have to tell you what needs to be done every sim at this point.

One caveat on the Rule 5 draft - Louis-Simon Guadet was just traded to PIT and now he's showing up in the Rule 5 draft pool. I'm not sure PIT got a chance to protect him since the trade and Rule 5 pool happened in the same SIM? Just wondering.
