Cash Reserve Utility

The new Cash Reserve utility is now online. It is integrated with the other utilities the BLB uses and you should be able to access it using the utility navigation bars. I will also put a link in the main BLB navigation bar.

The Cash Reserve utility is replacing the old Stadium Fund utility. Let me know if there are any questions.

Features

• Overview page shows your financial information by year.
  • EOY Cash is the number that will be entered in the game after the first off-season sim. It is determined by: Year end balance - fines - luxury tax paid + cash reserves used to automatically cover a negative balance
  • Bonuses are automatically calculated by counting articles, all-stars and award winners
  • Luxury tax will start using the new calculations after the 1989 season
  • Withdrawals is money that is withdrawn from a team's cash reserve at the owners request or automatically at the end of the season to reduce a negative balance
  • Some teams have large bonus and withdrawal amounts for 1988. These numbers reflect the money from a team's stadium fund that was transferred into their cash reserve. In some cases the money transferred was used to cover a negative balance

  • This page allows a team to withdraw money from their cash reserve.
  • When a withdrawal is submitted it automatically updates a team's cash reserve total and sends me a message that a withdrawal was requested. The money will appear in the team's in game cash in the next sim after the withdrawal is requested
  • A team cannot withdraw more than their Cash Reserve balance
  • Only numbers can be entered into the withdrawal amount field
  • You must be logged into the utility to make a withdrawal

Also a disclaimer that the numbers from previous years don't necessarily add up. We've changed the bonus rules, luxury tax rules, etc over the years and I wasn't about to waste time coding all of that into the utility. The cash reserve total ignores everything before 1988.

Not yet. I'm working on an admin page that will allow us to award bonuses that can't automatically be calculated (like all star gate) and assess fines.

So...just so I'm clear (I stopped paying attention when BUSH took over as Commish)... whatever I transfer from CASH RESERVE goes into in-game CASH.... So....:

A) Can CASH now go over $20.0?
B) Can you confirm that this CASH RESERVE money can NOT be used to pay down future contracts?

So...just so I'm clear (I stopped paying attention when BUSH took over as Commish)... whatever I transfer from CASH RESERVE goes into in-game CASH.... So....:

B) Can you confirm that this CASH RESERVE money can NOT be used to pay down future contracts?

A) Cash can go over $20.0 but it will automatically be reduced to $20m at the end of the season with any excess being lost.
B) Correct
