I couldn't ask for much more than what we gave. Game 7 of the ILCS, Joe Aurillo on the mound with a 2 run lead heading into the bottom of the 6th. You can sign me up for that scenario anytime. Just didn't work out.

Great series. Each team scored the exact same number of runs, 18. 6 of 7 games were 1 run games. The other one? A 3-1 final score.

Big props to my rookie SP Doug Little. He started 11 games in the second half of the season and struggled a bit early on, but started to figure things out in the second half.

We went with a four man rotation in the Davenport series so he didn't get a start in that series, but I just didn't like how a couple of our guys reacted to that. It's not the first time our staff has reacted poorly to pitching in a four man rotation, even though the off days should provide enough rest so we went with a five man staff in the ILCS and gambled that Little wouldn't buckle under the pressure.

He was given the game 3 start and he responded with:

              7.0 IP | 1 H | 1 R | 1 ER| 3 BB | 6 K

to pick up the victory. We're proud of him. He's not an Ace or anything, but we look forward to a full season with him in the rotation next season.

Well, my team is pretty well rested. It's going to be an epic showdown against the Bats.

Once again, this is a matchup of two excellent pitching staffs like the Maine series. Washington definitely has the edge offensively though so they're obvious favorites for that reason.

Definitely a magical season so far in Mississippi!

My team has played two back-to-back seven game series...hopefully my guys got one more series left in them!
