4-2 sim, 1-2 vs. Carolina, 3-0 vs. California
Not bad. I expected to go 4-2 but I didn't expect to sweep California. You're welcome Philly, Windy City, Virginia, and Davenport.
The Good
-My team hit .320 with a .828 OPS this week....wow.
-Pateshall, McEvoy, Carlton and Villazon are all pitching very well. I'm not sure there is a better 4-man rotation in the entire league.
The Bad
-I lost 1B Eddie O'Fallon for 15 games due to a suspension...which means he will miss two playoff games.
-Lost one of (if not the) best relievers on my team for eight months! River Mathews, probably the most likely candidate to take over the closer role for Grant Lewis (whenever that time may be) is now going to be out until Spring.
The Ugly
-Rookie starter Lucien Lavoe is completely overmatched. I called him up two weeks ago to fill out the 6-man rotation to keep my starters fresh down the stretch. In his two starts, 10 runs have scored, while he has only completed 7 innings. I will likely let him start this week and if he struggles again, go a different route for the #6 spot to close the season.

I hope that's true for your sake. I have concerns. A suspension levied in Spring Training takes a player out of ST, then the first X number of games in the Regular Season. I'm concerned that if O'Fallon can only serve 13 games in the RS, the AI will view the suspension as unfulfilled and he'll be suspended all of the playoffs and next ST until he can miss those last two regular season games.

Interesting. I was wondering if he would be suspended for the first two games of ST or next years regular season. Is there anyway to confirm this? Andrew?

For a 20 year old to get pissed after giving up a bomb and plunking O'Fallon and then on top of that throwing down on the field... man's game, Chip, man's game!
Saw two things in the commentary during the games that I've never seen before.
One, I was playing Morgantown and their backup CF Michael Peterson was starting.
As he came to the plate the commentary was talking about how he was playing with a heavy heart today as his grandma passed away last night. He ends up going 3-4 with 2 RBI's. I wonder if the game does some random bonus for players on special moments... or that the game knew he was going to have a great game (based on dice rolls) and decided to add some commentary script to it?
Secondly, with the Snow/O'Fallon fight I saw a line in the commentary about O'Fallon swinging wildly at Snow throwing a 'haymaker'. I've never seen that with a fight before... maybe that's why it got 15 games?

Suspensions can be edited. My vote is going to be to shut them off after this season. They're unrealistic and from what clay said it sounds like there's some bugs too.
Injuries are better now so suspensions are probably unneccessary especially when the game is generating them with no real rhyme or reason. If we had a committee to decide that then that would be different, but having that would be stupid and dumb.
As ridiculous as this could sound, I almost feel like O'Fallon shouldn't have to miss any playoff games. Now that's just me. But, it's how I feel.
We'll have to see how the game handles it. If it tries to make him sit out the entire Playoffs.... I'd think that is wrong. But, I would strongly disagree that we should lessen any suspensions this season. Too many players on other teams have already served them.
I'm strongly in favor of turning them off after this year, but I think everything issued has to be served for this season.
