I gave up two minor league pitchers to reacquire him, but no worries. I like Winchel and he fits my organizational philosophy (which I'll never reveal to anyone).

Coincidentally, Brad Sanford and Manny Duran do not fit that philosophy. They may fit someone else's and there's a good chance they'll someday fit that philosophy, but my scout doesn't believe so despite their numbers.
After a rough start, I noticed that Winchel is right back to where he was before going down last season. Good for you man. I thought Winchel would be great for me, but he didn't get it together and had to be dealt.

Well, not to reveal your philosophy to anyone, but if Winchel meets the requirements and Duran and Sanford do not...It's pretty easy to see what you look for in a pitcher, based on their ratings.

But I am very pleased with Duran and Sanford. My scout loves them both. Put up great numbers since the trade as well. Both will likely pitch in Triple-A to start 1989.

Don't you dare talk that evil in here!

      edit:

      Do look at this, though:

      Code:
      Date Syracuse Dallas Denver Indy
      8/23	3	8	26	20
      8/24	2	9	25	19
      8/25 8	24	20
      8/26	1	9	23	19
      8/27	2	10	24	20
      8/28	1	11	25	21
      8/29	0	12	24	22
      8/30	1	11	25	21
      8/31	0	12	24	22
      9/1	-1	13	25	21
      9/2	-2	14	24	22
      9/3	-1	13	25	21
      9/4	0	12	24	22
Notice Dallas climbing above .500 while Denver and Indy sit still. Danger.

Yea, I was kidding. It's really not rocket science. You can look at every single one of the older starters I've acquired in the past three years and start to notice a pattern.

And Duran and Sanford definitely don't match. However, they are good minor league pitchers with major league promise. I've been following them (as I do with everyone I trade away) and Sanford really is the one I'll miss most. I had a love/hate relationship with him. He did everything right but looked so wrong. I didn't get it. I messed with him and he kept performing. I considered him part of my future, but you have to make moves sometimes. They are both pitching well.

Looks like Dallas is making a run for the playoffs.

Whats that you say? Dallas? Playoffs? Silent running?

                2 can play that game...

Sergio Lumar...wow, he's up there in age...sure hope he's able to stay healthy the last month of the season.

Oh, tell me about it. Thanks for the well wishes though.

Wait, am I playing this game right?

                    I edited it out.

I don't know what it does but the image address is not consistent. It was supposed to be an image of Dallas climbing higher above .500 aiming straight at Denver and Indianapolis while they hover in a straight line.
