Yep, me too. 1-5 sim. I was probably out of it anyways, now I am for sure. Offense fell flat on it's face.

It's never too early for bad news in Los Lunas...I'm losing my closer, Jerry "Godzilla" Kraft, to Free Agency. Apparently he was insulted by my contract offer EVEN THOUGH I MET HIS DEMAND. This is the 2nd or 3rd time a player has either gone FA or raised his demand after I offered to meet his demand. I don't get it; and it's starting to bug me.

              3-3 sim for Mississippi

Pitching has been solid, offense still the weak link. Cisco Garcia had a bad debut, including an 0-7 game with 4 Ks. Ouch! Good news is that my sleeper prospect Joe Rojas entered the top 100- my scout loves him now as well so hopefully he's gonna slide in as DH next season.

                2-4

Our pitchers got rocked against Washington and Windy City.

Both Indy and Denver can't seem to either separate or gain ground in the past three weeks. Ridiculous.

And there's Dallas, just inching in slowly after a great month.

Picked up a game, still 2 back.

I never thought I'd say this but the hitting and bullpen are carrying us lately, now if we could only get some starting pitching!

                      5-1 SIM, 2-1 @ Batavia, 3-0 @ Carolina
Pretty dominant week against two lesser opponents. About what one would expect.

                      The Good
-MAP is on fire. Since returning from the DL, he is hitting .337 with a 1.067 OPS.
-Starting pitching outside of Joe Rodriguez, continues to be really good. Martin Carlton gave up 2 ER his last start...I think that's the first time since June that he gave up more than 1 ER. Incredible.

                      The Bad
-Dave Robbins returned from the DL...and is 0/16 with two walks. My scout updated his scouting report on Robbins is well. Said he is verrrry streaky. Dominant one week. Non-existant the next. Greaaat! Him and (3B replacement) Brody Whiteley combined to go 1/32.
-SP Joe Rodriguez can't get it right. Fourth straight start giving up 5 ER or more. Hopefully it's an "August Slump" otherwise, he will be in the pen for the stretch run/playoffs.

                      The Injured
-Dave Robbins returned this past week, and this next sim I am getting 3B Pete Summers back. He will slide right into both starting lineups. Hopefully he doesn't come off the injury in a slump.
-Jerry Fortin got hurt this week. He will miss four weeks. Return right before the playoffs, hopefully find his swing and provide a boost off the bench.

                      The Minors
-My Double-A and Single-A teams are up 3-2 in their 7-game series.
-Top prospect SS Clint Johnston strained his oblique (don't ask) and will miss the next five weeks. Not a huge loss, but my Triple-A team is tied for first with two games left, plus, he was likely a September call-up. Oh well, see you in Spring Training!

I can't bring myself to put the SIM into any kind of format.

The team was BAD, BAD, BAD. No power. 0 HRs at home in 6 games is disgusting. I do credit the Pitchers, but this team should never go an entire SIM without a HR.

Starting Pitching was BAD, BP was worse.

                        Danny Nelson is injured again.

If we didn't still have 3 games left to play against Philly, I would say it's over... but... it's pretty darn close.

It's over. You still have seven games to play against DC.

You can talk shit about every other team in the league... but 6-5 head-to-head doesn't really give you much room to toot too loudly. Now... come out of this next SIM 10-5... then feel free to blow all you want.

Not trying to talk shit...I'm not even sayin', I'm just sayin'...your team has 33 games left to play. Almost 1/4 of them are coming against the team with the best record. I wish you luck.
