The brawls and suspensions in this game are out of hand IMO. No numbers to support it but the suspensions for position players seem way too long.

FYI the image pack has been updated again for the trade deadline moves.

A 3-3 week is unacceptable especially when it involves winning a series against Minny and then losing one to Pittsburgh (no disrespect to Z) in the middle of a division race.

Pitching is attrocious. Those 5.8 RPG is keeping this team afloat. Averaged 6 RPG this last week. But gave up just over 6 RPG. Unacceptable.

Big blow to Indy losing Abe for a month. I hate to see that happen. Maybe he'll do good with rehab and use the rest to blow by September. I hope not, but, hey, that's what aces do.

              Hey, thanks Andrew!

              4-2

Abe is out for a month with a shoulder strain. Looks like we moved to the 6 man rotation a little late.

I really like out hitting right now, but after carrying us for the first half, our pitching is starting to suffer.

Need to find someone to call up to replace Abe. Could call Mendez up, but not sure if he's ready...

                  2-4 sim.

I was hoping we'd be able to sneak at least oneextra one against Windy City or the Bats but it wasn't to be. I've still got hope that we can pull it out but it's really not looking good right now. I would like to note that Lang has been extermely impressive since moving to B-more, although our offense has been very mortal of late.

Both times getting hit right after a Woodbury HR.

I agree. I'm sure they are long so that a SP misses at least one start, but that ends up over punishing the position player.

                      1. I still hate Philly.

                      2. If anyone wants to try beating Davenport, please go ahead. No need to ask permission.

                      3. Clarence Wetton is sizzling. His bat is starting to remind me of Hoovers.

Our bullpen got ass raped. Yet our manager doesn't put our closer in one freaking game all week. The bullpen usage in this game still continues to confound me.

We really need Davenport to have a losing sim. We've done well head to head with them, but we don't play them for awhile. And next up I get Maine. YAAY!

                        1-5

                        vs. Los Alamos 0-3
                        vs. Wilm 1-2

Back to life...back to reality. Against two teams with losing records the Muckdogs play their worst baseball in two months and find themselves inching back to .500. The run was great while it lasted...bringing much joy to the people of Batavia...so hopefully we can get another one going.

                        Good

                        - C Pat May continues to play well. He even got a really nice rating bump a few weeks ago and is playing like it. He hit .381 with 1 HR and 3 RBI's this week.
                        - Jud Cobb was called up last week due to injuries, played LF, and hit .316 with 2 doubles.
                        - SP Sasaki has not only been hot pitching (4-1 in 6 starts), but he cranks a HR.

                        Bad

                        - My heart and soul...my love...my man crush...also known as my pitching...let me down. A 6.75 ERA for the week.
                        - My minor leagues are playing horrible and everyone is angry!

                            That was short lived.

3-3 sim. Lost two of three to Davenport, took two of three from Baltimore.

Lost 3B Pete Summers for two weeks. Not exactly sure what I will do at the position just yet. Might start Brody Whiteley in both lineups or make a call to Triple-A.

Oh, and Carlton remains undefeated as a starting pitcher.

This is how it works in the Majors too.

Youk was suspended five games when he got into a fight with Porcello. Porcello's suspension was also five games.

Pitchers always miss one start and the hitter misses five games. That's the usual length of a suspension.

But, I have seen guys take 8 game suspensions in our league and that's too long.
