Pitchers always miss one start and the hitter misses five games. That's the usual length of a suspension.

But, I have seen guys take 8 game suspensions in our league and that's too long.

Don't get me started on the helmet throwing pussy getting the same suspension as the kid who was just defending himself and, P.S., got tossed without a warning.
