    6-1

    3-0 vs. Baltimore
    3-1 vs. California

WTF is up with my team? 17-9 in both June and July. Has Jesus really come to Batavia? Two straight 6-1 weeks. A 10 run extra inning. I've single handily evened out the Porter race in the last 2 weeks by going 10-1 against the other 3 teams. Safe to say they probably all hate me.

    Good

    - (De) Jesus wins the IL Rookie of the Month. I probably brought the kid up too late in the game for ROY but he's hit .397/.447/.603 with 4 HR's and 21 RBI's in 34 games.
    - In the 4 game series with Cali we got 65 hits...65? That's a good month for us.
    - We led the IL in batting average (.328) and HR's (8) for the week.
    - Called up LF Shaw Barnes last week. He hit .286 with 2 HR and 9 RBI's!

    Bad
    - Lost my starting 2B and SS to injuries. I'd be more upset if they could actually hit the ball.
    - We took a chance on SP Melon in a trade and he's been nothing but spectacular...on the bad side. A 4.85 ERA and 1.79 WHIP isn't really that great son.
    - We now have 12 guys on the minor league DL...yikes!

All of the new guys hit, but most of the old guys did not. That just wont do.

How about your new boy jacking 3 out of the park? After all these years it just turned out he refused to hit for power for the previous owner due to a personality conflict.

??? The frick? The guy had a four month injury and he was a week away from coming back. How does someone just suddenly have their career end?

Yeah, that was a nice surprise. 2 homers and 6 RBI in one game. Thats the kind of offense we need.

Mine jumped quite a bit, but we'll come back to earth next year.

                  That's rough.

What was the type of injury? Weird how it was just a random setback that ends a career? I mean its realistic to have a setback but I agree with you that it's questionable.

Yeah, no kidding. I somehow went from #1 at the beginning of the season to #11 now.

Aight sim but most important was a 4 game sweep of Los Lunas which gives us a 6 game cushion heading into August.

Bad news is Latham got a concussion and is now out for 6 weeks. Gonna have to stay afloat till then but I don't have anything resembling talent at CF right now to replace him. There's a reason I was working the lines hard before the deadline.

And yeah- luxury tax will be nice this year :)

Also random but I sent Carolina a PM before Christmas and never got a reply? Any news?

Lotta money for old man Samarano there, Doc.

I had to choose between even older Latham or old Samarano- Latham gets hurt like clockwork for a month and a half at least each year. Samarano has small injuries but he produces when he's on the field. I have a semi-decent ping hitter at CF in the minors to replace Latham but no corner OF with any power.

I've developed a ton of arms but not enough hitters unfortunately.

Oh, recently called up Jermaine Lewis threw 7 shutout innings in a 7-0 victory over Los Lunas. I'm not predicting that he'll be as good as the other guys in my rotation but he's off to a good start. Scary stat- nobody in my starting rotation has a WHIP above 1.30

                            Shoulder inflammation.

This guy was one of my up and coming future pitchers. I just don't understand this nonsense. A 4 month injury and a week away from returning to action and suddenly he can't pitch ever again. It's bull.

I'll edit that one out. We shouldn't be having any career ending injuries. The database has been edited to exclude them so I'm not sure why they're still happening.
