- For some reason this team just constantly sticks around. Our hitting has always been bottom of the barrel since we took over yet our pitching and defense keeps us in games...not sure how.
- De Jesus won his 1st award...IL Batter of the Week
- Outstanding starting pitching from Stephens, Mills, Sasaki and relief from Ketcham and Bayer
- Hit .306 as a team
Bad
- My IF is horrible (except Jesus of course). They went 11 for 72 this week.
Sorry to LL for Shinamius getting hurt immediately after you got him...I wonder if it's something in the water in LL since you've had so many OFers go down.
Oh man, Windy City is good. Playboys swept us in a four game series, which contributed to a disastrous 1-6 sim.
Interested to see what type of trades go down during the deadline. Hopefully the chat room is busy this weekend.
We're not really good, we just lost 8 in a row before our series so I think it was one of those cases of things evening out.
Here were are both at .500 and tied for first in our division. Not pretty but I'll take it!
Britt Bovey had a big week (thanks Linty ....for now). Hit 3 HR's and drove in 10. We hit 9 as a team actually which is probably a record week for us this year.
Also I'm really liking how Toiguichi is developing. I think he'll be all star caliber in a few years.
I moved former closer Manny Alvarez into the 5 spot and he pitched pretty well actually for us. If he can just be somewhat decent it would help us a lot.
I have no idea if we're gonna start a hot streak, or if the game just wouldn't let us lose 12 in a row.

Los Alamos Bandits: SP R. Vest was injured while pitching. The Diagnosis: torn UCL (Tommy John surgery). He's expected to miss about 13-14 months. Unreal Spot. I feel bad. Dude didn't even last a full inning.

You and Dallas and your dirty dealings. No ethics I tell you!

Spoiler
Feel terrible for Los Alamos here. Barely unpacks his bags and now he's on the shelf.

Wow. Eating crow right now but still 2.5 months left. Plus we lost 2 games on BtB walk off grand slams??? I mean really?
I'm taking one quick shot while I can. I lose my Closer for 90% of the remainder of the season and I'd have to say my run is over. The one positive is the timing. With Magness coming back, McSwain goes back to the 'pen and likely will Close for us. Grrrr... the run was fun while it lasted.
