That might have just been a bit of a bigger loss.
That was a big injury, no doubt about it. But I still think the Harcourt injury was worse. He was coming off an MVP-type season, career year, and it was an option year. It was essentially like a Free-Agent signing because Clay had to decide if he wanted to let him walk or pay him a ton of money to a 34-year-old. After I'm sure much agonizing of what to do, he decides to accept the option, and he ends up paying all that money for one at bat and then the player leaves in Free-Agency. Shannon will be back next year. Harcourt left for greener pastures.

JJ always tried to make people feel sorry for him by chiming in after someone said something that sucked for them and then he'd try to one up it.

Just messin' with ya. I'm still upset about last year.

5-1 vs. Virginia, comfortable 4 game lead. About to put distance between us in the coming sims.

Feel free to fight it out with Baltimore though. You guys have fun with that.
You have three games against that really good team from the nation's capital this sim...I wish you luck.

Damnit. I didn't mean to delete that post! I hit the wrong button while editing it.

Zzzzzzzzz... I just hope you and Baltimore stop all the collusion that we saw earlier in the season.

For some reason I find the nickname "Mr. Rearview" slightly disturbing. And I'm sure Clay doesn't appreciate you commenting publicly on the size of his "chuckle".

Swamped at work yesterday and didn't get adequate time to breakdown my SIM. Cliff's Notes version....

                  4-2
                  2-1 v Batavia
                  2-1 v Baltimore

Continuing to have a nice month. The bats are doing enough to put us in games and the 'pen has been overall solid. Lost one heartbreaker with Herrerra snapping his win streak in a gem of a 1-0 loss where he just grooved one pitch that "The Carpenter" made him pay for.

                  Highlights of the Week:

                  - Nino takes Mills deep the first time they face eachother since the ST brawl

                  - O'Hegarty hits an inside the park homerun v Baltimore

                  - 'Old Blue' saves all 4 games to move within 1 save of the #1 spot on the All-Time list

                  Keep on keepin' on.
