Trust me, I agree with the sentiment of having every team represented, but if the gap is too large between the player being replaced and the replacement pick, I'm just not sure that is the correct way to go.

No one wants an All-Star team comprised of the 6 best players from the top 4 or 5 teams and I think we are headed towards a reasonably representative team. I just think at some point the players having better seasons deserve to go more than the best player from a certain team.

I'll tell you, DL 1B is loaded. When Norm Seltzer - leading the league in Avg, OBP, OPS, RC; 2nd in VORP and SLG - needs a manager's vote to make the team, it just tells you how loaded it is.

No disrespect to the voters. I know I would have gone Gremades or Keppel first as well (and did). It's just crazy how good those two are that someone with Seltzer's numbers is on the outside looking in.

I'm the biggest Keppel slapdick in the league (very likely)... and I'm one of the ones who voted for Seltzer. Great, great season.

How long do I have to write my All-Star lobby report?

Batavia would like to point out Baltimore's lack of All-Star "thingy" respect.
