I edited the injury to remove the CEI. He's still out for 16 months though. I thought I had edited these out of the injury file but maybe not.

We're 13-19. We're having a really terrible season, as expected.

But I'm really excited about the resurgence of Don Stevens. So excited that I might write an article. But since I've moved him to the pen this year, here's the line:

Pitching G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER HR BB K
        Overall 14 0 2 0 0 1.08 16.2 11 4 2 1 1 8

With a 0.72 WHIP. On one hand, I think it's because he's in the pen. On the other hand, I'm tempted to move him back into the rotation and see what happens. On the next hand, it might just be a fluke. Either way, he's a bright spot among a lot of dark.

            1-5
            vs. Carolina 1-2
            vs. Davenport 0-3

The race for the Commissioners Cups is on. I really think we have the best shot of anyone.

            Bad
            - Team batting average of .196 for the week. Really?
            - 57-17 K to walk ratio on offense
            - 10 total runs scored in 6 games
            - In 3 games we had 9 total hits

            Good
            - SP Stephens - 8 IP, 2 HA, 0 RA, 9 K's, 1 BB

            12-20 Overall

Got swept by Maine, lost all three games by a total of 5 runs. We then took 2/3 against Hartford to salvage the sim. I resigned Chaim Lamberts and brought in Lesley Lacy for OF depth since my backup OF was just absolutely awful this year.

Don Leonard is really getting into gear- I think it's starting to click for him.

                3-3 week.

                Washington's offense is insane.

5-1 this week. We have the leagues best starting staff and now best bullpen. This is something we've worked on for 3 years. We were tired of blowing leads game after game and now we've finally got a bullpen.

Kit Kat Mills moved to the closer position because he just wasn't cutting it in the starting rotation. Maybe down the road, but Luis Antonio Ramirez will hold the 5th spot for now.

We also had to promote our rookie stud Toiguichi because even though he is gonna struggle in the big leagues, AAA is too easy for him. And now he expects to be up here so we'll let him take his lumps.

Things are looking up for us. 1st place, pitching staff in place, we're youngs and we have a top 2 farm system.

Hector Hernandez is making an early push for DL rookie of the year. Our offense is scary right now and it's been without one of our best hitters in Don McGuire. The big disappointment so far has been Shumkichi Kiyomizu. I'm hoping he can take over at 1B next season but he's been terrible so far.

I think it's official that Teagan Corrigan is our 3rd best pitcher. Tino Suarez hasn't shown any ill effects from the shoulder injury that ended his season last year.

4-2 week. Won both series 2-1 against California and Philly. About what I expected.

I'm scoring more runs than anyone in the IL and I'm still missing slugger Eddie O'Fallon. Most surprising has to be Dave Robbins, who his now hitting .250 with five homeruns and league leading 30 RBI. On top of that, leadoff hitter 2B Robert Abbott raised his average to .379, second in the IL.

My pitching is slowly coming together. I expect the rotation to be a lot better now that there isn't any changes going on. I think down the road I might need another solid pitcher out of the pen (after moving Carlton to SP) but I want to see how this group holds on.

The rest of the Stout continues to struggle. Five game lead and we are only a month in. The Virginia Colons have the worst record in the IL.

                          4-2 this week.

Disappointed we didn't get a victory against Windy City. Pretty happy with the whole team's performance so far, just don't want the injury bug to hit us (*knock on wood*).

Loving Kang and Gugz but the team isn't scoring as many runs when Gugierrez is on the hill.

I'm firmly convinced of two things....

#1 - Whoever said last season that they do not believe certain teams are more prone to 1-run games is nuts and needs to look at my team. 14 of them already (2-12).

#2 - The conversion to OOTP X killed my Bullpen. I have no doubt in my mind that Jayson McQueen and George McSwain's collective desire to be Starters now is affecting their pitching. What should have been a strength on my team is now costing me games.

Perhaps it has something to do with your strategy settings?
