My strategy settings all got reset to 50% but I think that's because my manager retired. Sucks having to redo them all.

No kidding....would be nice if that were tied to the GM rather than the manager.

I hate going in & tweaking mine so I try to do it once or twice a season just to make sure everything's where I want it.

Yeah most likely was your manager. Mine staid the same during the flip to OOTP X.

          Always ready with excuses...

McQueen has a 2.86 ERA. His career ERA is 2.45.
McSwain has a 3.06 ERA. His career ERA is 3.32.

I don't see the big deal. We are a month into the season. Way too small a sample size for relief pitchers.

            Very limited snapshot you took.

Look at both of their K's v BB's compared to normal. They are pitching just fine in games that don't matter. Close games they are junk. I feel strongly that both being "VERY UNHAPPY" due to "ROLE ON TEAM" is a factor there.

Both players were Happy last year even on a .500 (.503!) team. The conversion has made them both think they are Starters.

I don't need to make excuses. The story speaks for itself. I traded starting pitching for hitting knowing that I would leave myself with a VERY thin staff of young players. It hasn't paid off.

But that's completely separate from my feeling that I have to make these guys starters to get anything out of them.

Well, you have been starting Clay Jolley and Pancho Garcia lately....decision made.

Garcia pitched in the 16K game. I can't fault him. He only gave up 3 earned. He's earned another start. Jolley is going down.

Guess McSwain and McQueen get a start. Or hit the block for a team that needs a starter.

My senior year of high school we played really bad the first game of the season and our coach went crazy and made us do this two hour gym death march type deal.

I've never understood why baseball coaches want to try and physically punish their players. It's not going to help someone throw a ball better or hit a ball further doing up downs on the gym floor.

Went 4-2 sweeping through Los Lunas (how?) toward a four game winning streak.

                        Seltzer keeps raking.
Rice and Mariote looked horrible but cleaned up at the end.
Erwood is slowly getting back. He's a K pitcher now and I kinda feel it's affected him a bit.

It was Carillo, nothing to be embarrassed about.

This is why I quit baseball in HS (well part of it). Coach was good overall...spent a lot of time on fundamentals. First few games of the season we lost we'd have to run & hit the cages after the game. I'm ok with cages but the running was a lot & did no good. If basketball or a sport where physical endurance mattered it would make sense. I would've been fine if we spent hours in the cages or doing drills...but the running was annoying and a waste of time.

I had coach before high school ball that did the same thing. Anyone that struck out looking had to run like 20 outfield sprints, anyone that struck out swinging had to run 10. Yeah, we swung at everything after that.

Those coaches were just awful though. By the time the season was over, they (they were brothers who flamed out at college ball) lost the entire team. No one, myself included, even wanted to play, which looking back was just sad.

Glad others had it the same way I did in high school.

I didn't get mentally tougher because of the punishment exercise... it just made me hate my coach more.
