Anybody else excited for the start of the feeder leagues?

By the end of Wednesday's sim, they'll have kicked off their seasons!

Very much so. Even more excited for next season when there is a little bit of history, all the teams/leagues have all the logo work done, and we have a draft under our collective belt.

Virginia Colonials
8-6 in ST1 Sim

I don't put much stock in Spring Training, but just a few observations on my team...

Things I Liked...

- 5 Errors in 14 games. I think team defense is an underrated factor in this game and I've really been pushing to improve my team in that area. ST usually features a lot of errors, so 5 in 14 games (I think) is great.

- Starters were good and the corp 'pen was better despite the heavy load.

- Woodbury seems healthy. Again, ST is ST... but a 18 for 40 with 4 bombs, 12 RBI and 4 stolen bases... that's a good sign that at least the healthy version still has it.

- Depth looked good. With the Nino suspension and the Maeda injury, the bench got more time. Martinez looked real good and will get the Opening Day start for the suspended Nino.

- Danny Nelson hit the ball a little.

And... Not So Much...

- The Vincent Nino suspension costing him 2/3 of ST and the first 5 games of the season. That's a flaw in the game to me.

- Maeda getting dinged. Don't like to see any injuries.

- Only 12 SBs on 17 attempts. I want this team to run and run often. Rhodes and Woodbury were on their horses, but O'Hegarty kept it in the barn.

- Too many solo HRs. We'll take 'em when we can get 'em, but the solo HR will get you in trouble.
