He was my #2 player overall.

See, maybe your board isn't as off of everyone else's as you first thought.

    • I really liked Daly, but mainly because of those insane stats he's been putting up. My scout has him at 5-6-5-5-5, not spectacular for a first rounder, but I figured he'd be better than that. Really thought hard about taking him at 1.18, but I thought he might still be there in the 2nd. As usual, I was wrong. Nice pick.

Or yours is as off as mine?????

My Scout has him with once in a lifetime type talent. 8-8-8-8-7 with 8-8-8 in the speed ratings and 7-6-7 at the OF positions. Obviously, I don't expect him to be that. But, even if he ends up at 5-5-5-5-5 with speed and defense, I'll take that.

        • Well, he was my Rex Knight clone. So those ratings look about right to me.

My guys got him at all 5's, except the speed is all 8's.

If he meets in the middle at straight 6.5's, I'll have a future star. 18 years old with a 31 year old Woodbury ahead of him. Seems like a perfect match.

I don't want him to be too much like Rex Knight... missing two weeks this season with a virus. A 'virus' in 1988??? I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'.

                • And we're off into the second round!

Jerry Jones just went off the board. I liked him.

                  • I like all players named Jerry... but he wasn't on my list. I feel good about getting another one of my Top 4 at 2.11. And, the way things are going, I won't rule out getting another in the 3rd.

                        • Maine took a guy I really wanted...Caleb Marshall. When I drafted Cochran I wanted Marshall but since I didn't have the game here I couldn't remember who was who as far as what my scout said. Oh well...

                            • Wilmington is up...then me.

(I'm trying to get to my pick before I have to leave at 1:15Pm for my car appointment. The sweet "Check Engine" light is on.)

Damn you Clay! Jerry was the #3 hitter on my board, but the top rated of those left. Since that was really my pick, I'll just take him off your hands...

Maybe my aids crack the other day was a little premature?

On the other hand, we're in contact with the L.A. Lakers medical team. We hear they have a guy that handles viruses really well. Couldn't hurt.
