.260? I think if he hits .225 you should be pleased. Dude has legit power though.

Yes, I would and I would so would most others. At worst... WORST... those two ratings sets would be a push.

More importantly, I don't think your draft so many busts comment is valid. I think I am above the league average (or at least at it) for "hits" versus "busts". I've had some bad luck in the 1st round early in my drafting career, but I bet I hit on as many or more 2nd-4th rounders as anyone else in the league.

In your stadium he could easily hit 35. I don't see him ever hitting .260 though.

I didn't resign him because I was worried that the injury would ruin him.

But, lets just say that you beat me out for him in free agency. My scout thinks he's just fine (actually, he thinks he's better) and he loved him last year too.

edit: I'm assuming that's the same story with Revenant? Huge injury but seems about fine.

Really? I am very interested to see who others would pick. A "6" on contact is such a huge selling point for me. In my opinion, Maeda's best two ratings (avoid Ks and gap power) are the two least important ratings of the five. I have had a ton of guys who are like 4-7-3-5-7ish, and never amount to much of anything. Maybe it's just me. On top of that, I think Maeda's defensive ability and base running made him a much higher rated prospect than his good but not great hitter ratings.

Well, I would argue you have been drafting with some of the best picks. You have made numerous trades for early draft choices and your record usually stinks.

I "beat" you in Free-Agency? I offered the guy peanuts. Were you offering the league minimum?

I think he could be really good on my pitching staff. My defense is normally top notch and I think he could easily have a sub 3.50 ERA and over 200 innings.

He pulls the ball quite a bit. He'll hit a lot of home runs in any stadium.

I offered him about the same because he asked for very little (at least from me). But I think you gave him a guaranteed third year. I wasn't willing to go that long for him.

Ivan Garcia(barring injury) leads the IL in steals.

But isn't that part of the packages? Shouldn't his ability to run and play defense make him an attractive play as compared to someone like O'Fallon which is where the original conversation took place? A fast guy who hits gaps... in my park... gee... that's a bad combination to have.

Wow. That is quite bold. Guy had a .321 OBP last year...he might be fast enough to lead the IL in steals but he might not be on base enough.

He's going to have to work because I plan on having two guys with at least 40

And since we're making bold predictions:

                              Rayford Winchel: 15-10, 3.98 ERA, 217 IP, 54 BB

I wish I had that in Denver from a mid-rotation guy making peanuts.

No, I was referring to his top prospect ranking. I think Maeda will be fine, but the guy has yet to prove that he can hit well at any level.
