  • New League File w/ feeder leagues

FYI, I just uploaded a new league file that contain the feeder leagues. Clay is still working on the logos and uniforms for High School teams but the College and Cape League teams should be up to date.

Because the date didn't change in this league file you will need to download and extract manually. All exports done since Friday's sim should work.

The next sim will be run on Wednesday at the normal time. The draft class will be available during this sim.

The feeder league seasons will start around the middle of March. They will run until mid-may or so with the in game draft happening in June.

Currently the playoff format for each league is:

NCAA: The top 8 teams (regardless of division) make the playoffs and are seeded according to their record. The first two rounds are a one game series #1 plays #8, #2 plays #7, etc. the championship is a 3 game series.

Cape: The top two teams in each division make the playoffs. They then play a 3 game series. The championship is a 3 game series between the East champion and West champion.

High School: The two division winners play a 3 game championship.

We can still change the playoff formats if anyone has suggestions. There are no all-star games in the feeder leagues due to scheduling issues.

      So... just to be clear...

The draft list will actually be released before the season is played. Will draft eligible players still play or will they be the players from the year before?

In other words, if JOHN DOE plays at Clemson and plays his Junior year in 1990... if he is in the Draft Class... will he still play his Senior year prior to being drafted or would he not be in the draft class till after his Senior year?

i guess the quick way of saying it.... do they still play after they are in the draft class?

I just wanna take this one moment to enjoy the fact that I have the top ranked farm system.

It never happened before, we've gotten to #2, and I don't think it means much but hey it's a first.

Draft eligible players still play. It will make things very interesting since they will be accumulating stats (and potentially injuries) while the draft is taking place.

The benefits of feeder leagues won't really become apparent until next year's draft when players have a full season of stats and scouting reports.

Damn...because I'm in a negative budget my scouting budget just lost 2 million. There went any plans of a productive draft.

Smallest market, worst fan loyalty, bottom of the bucket for fan interest, lowest budget. Talk about a one sided fight.

There are some guys in the FA pools for the Cape Cod and NCAA leagues that also show up in the BLB FA pool. Are these guys new and if so are they free game?

Any way to go back in the game and change the results of the awards to match what we voted on? I feel like that might change how the game views a player when it comes time for the hall of fame.

For example, Shannon won MVP when we voted, but Woodbury won the award in game.
