I think it will be close.
Don't get me wrong, I like your team... I just think the ceiling on my team's batters is so much higher than any other team in the division. The Great One!

Take his number from last year (when he was still undeveloped ratings wise) and project them over a full season. He could have 60 doubles and 25 triples once he's at his ratings.
I'm not one to talk about injury-plagued outfielders (Robbins, Nago) but I doubt "Doorbell" plays much more than 100-110 games this year. He averages 133 games a year and he turns 31 this season. Plus, he had a pretty significant injury (3 months) to end his season. If that kind of injury happens in June instead of September, he is missing a ton of games. Also, in 1984, he had an 8-month injury in August. If one of those injuries happens in the first half of the season, you will likely have Nino 1987 all over again.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Not to be that guy... but... when is Virginia going to take that next step? Every year there's a lot of hope... and then there's an injury/lack of production and we're back at square one.
I hope success comes Clay's way... but until I actually see it... I have a hard time believing it will.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Anticipating a crappier-than-normal season. The patch had me sidelined while arbitration and the Rule V sims took place. I'm expecting to lose a couple of prospects. I'll also be spending money on some junk I was planning to leave out at the curb; because I couldn't remove the auto arby offers.
Oh well...It's not like we were suddenly going to be able to hit.Last edited by Gyrodork; 11-03-2009, 08:15 PM.
