    Next sim: Wednesday- NO EXPORTS

I'm going to run the Rule 5 draft during Wednesdays sim. Please PM your Rule 5 list to me by 9pm on Wednesday.

I won't be importing any changes so don't make any changes to your team between now and Wednesday.

Is it just to Dec 1st (as game says) or Jan 1st (as schedule says)?

P.S. Did we change some minor league teams or am I dreaming? Batavia looks to unveil their new minor league uniforms and locations as well soon...possibly with a nice front page news article!

I haven't participated in Rule V for years. When you say submit lists, is this the list of players we want?

Dec 1st. I corrected the schedule. Tomorrow's sim takes us to January 1st.

Didn't change any minor league teams.

This may be one of our best Free Agent classes to date, but may be the time with the least amount of money to be spent league-wide. Really some big names. Just using the OOTP Top Players list, there are 4 guys available. Those couple teams with money to spend could get healthy quick.

Personally, I'm proud (yet completely ashamed) to see that I now have the highest average salary in the league at over $4.7 million. Arbitration really kicked me in the nads. I front loaded Nino's deal heavy this season because I thought I'd have money this year because I still had arbitration on my guys. Shows what I know. May need to start a payment plan on my luxury tax. I do save about $2.0 when the Arrendondo-Woodbury trade goes through. That will get me back in the Green at least.

                  No Joe Chavarraga.

                  No Romano Gonzalez.

                  No Joe Sierra.

Is birthplace taken into account when a player signs?

I may post this in just about every thread this off-season... but I just want to mention that my offense should be incredible this season. I feel sorry for the other teams in the Stout.

It's a good thing that starting pitching will be my achilles heel this year.

I was thinking the same thing.

It made me happy to see Gonzalez, Chavarraga and Gugierrez all off of Stout rosters (as of this sim). Made me feel better about my young and somewhat green pitching staff... and even better about my lineup. If my team dodges injuries.... the run production could be off the charts. Then again... so could our ERA.

You had the best team in the Stout last year as well. You were just outmanaged.

With Villazon on the DL until May-June, my rotation is going to be very interesting. I have McEvoy, who is legit, and Joe Rodriguez, who has been my #4-#5 in recent years. Besides that it's a bunch of AAAA types battling for the #3-#5 spots. I don't have money to spend in FA, so I'll have to make due.

I don't have money either, so I'm pretty much all in with what I have in the system.

My Top 3 Starters are set with Magness, Herrera and Morgan... Clay Jolley, who was good late last season, will get the #4 spot... but the question will be who takes the ball on the 5th day. I moved Delmar Oyos to the 'pen, but he could be pushed. More likely, it will be one of two highly thought of Relievers who my scouts think can start.

That being said... I should be able to outhit anyone in the division.... I'll go:

                              1) O'Hegarty
                              2) Maeda
                              3) Woodbury
                              4) Nino
                              5) Poling

As my Top 5. That SHOULD be and amazing run producer.... plus... 6-8 should be servicable:

                              6) Hernando - who eats up the gaps and got a mid-season ratings boost last year
                              7) Rhodes - who might not be the hitter I thought he was going to be, but can steal 30 bases from anywhere in the lineup
                              8) Nelson - who isn't the old Danny Nelson, but could give you Brandon Inge numbers (.220 - 20 HR - 60 RBI) from the 8 spot.
                              The Great One!

                              To many rings to count...
