Hmm. if disabling the firewall doesn't work, try setting ftp_passive to 0 and set ftp_timeout_milliseconds to 90000 (even though I don't think this is it)

oh and i did turn my firewall completely off.. and restarted the program.. and it still didn't work.

That's 2 sims behind so you may have missed the FTP fix.

Yeah that's definitely it. Some of the ftp settings were wrong in the first file and I fixed them in a later one. Download the current file manually using the link in the owners forum.

Try exporting after you load it (in game date should be 11/25) and let me know if it works.

You're installing to the default folders, correct?

From what I understand the only thing special you need to do is right click the shortcut and run it as admin. I'm on XP though so don't know for sure.

Yeah, I never change what folders I am installing to.

And yes, I have been running as admin. That's not even an "issue" with people who have had Vista or Windows 7 for a week....you just learn to start doing that.

Yeah I'm not sure how much I can help. Dumb question but have you rebooted since the issue started? Sometimes when a program crashes or doesn't open correctly there is still a process running and it won't let you open it.

With this issue, no question is dumb. And yes, I have rebooted several times.

I might try and get a copy of XP and use my computer as dual boot. It should run on XP without any issues...fucking Vista.
