  • Davenport Retiring

Please welcome Spear to the league, who will be taking over for me at the end of the season. He and I will be running the team jointly this season. I didn't want to turn the team over to just anyone and have another repeat of the Chubby Banana deal so I decided to do it this way. Assuming he maintains his interest during the season, he'll be taking over for me. From the communications we have had so far, I believe that he will be an active and interested owner.

It has been fun but after this last season of partial participation, it will be time for me to move on. Thanks to all for a great gaming experience.

Sorry to see you go as well. You'll be turning over a great farm system.

I'll miss you man. You really were great to manage against.

You did a great job of setting up Spear's future with all those prospects.

I look forward to working with Steve this season. I love the idea of transitioning into full ownership as it will give me some time to get familiar with the Davenport organization and the BLB.

Steve's been extremely welcoming and hopefully we can win one for him this year!

                  Thanks guys.

I appreciate the remarks. I'll still be fairly active in this last season probably, so I'm not quite gone yet.

Well, this sucks. Riverman, you've been fun to have around on the boards, so hopefully you'll at least stick around here for that.

                    Spear, welcome to the league.

                            Eric works too.

But Spear is my nickname in real life and I go by it most of the time. Whatever works for you guys though.
