  • SIM COMPLETE - 1980 - Sim 10

Busy sim this week. The draft is done. I think it put most players in A ball. Remember to reduce your rosters to around 25 for each level of the minors, not counting the injured players.

Looks like AA & A had their All-Star games but don't see anything for AAA....was that the league that missed theirs last year, too? Any way to fix that?

2-0 vs. Syracuse, 3-1 vs. Pittsburgh. Nice week, and extended my lead to 2.5 games over Los Lunas. Nice week.

3-4. We're hanging in there, but we're going to have to step up soon to make a move.

The AAA all star game is Thursday. They play more games than AA and A so its slightly later in the year.

I had been watching for this to see how I did (AAA is my saving grace with my lousy BLB team). I ended up with 7 players selected to the AAA All-Star game...and that's after sending up 2 of my best hitters to the BLB last week. Hopefully all those guys come up to the BLB soon to make an impact!

3-4 , lost 4 straight one run games to Wilmington. Also, lost another starter for 6 weeks. Three of my top seven starters have gone down and I'm left with just 4 who are BLB ready. Fortunately my top three have remained healthy all year.

Why did we sim 8 days this sim instead of 7? What is the plan for the next sim?

For some reason it wouldn't let me run the draft on Sunday, so I had to advance it another day. I'll sim 6 days this week to get us back on the normal mon-sun schedule.

Good week. Our division is turning into the two horse race I expected it to. Soto gets his first start, pitches 5+ innings of shutout ball, and goes down for 6-7 months with bone chips. Wonderful.

Sully & Riverman....I'd think you two would be right there with me on lowering the injuries.

Ok, that'll be my last post about it for a while! :)

Dam we broke out of out slump in a big way. 5-0, outscoring our opponents a combined 23-4! with 3 shutouts!

Mc Evoy's bounced back in a big way. He's now won 4 straight after getting no run support early and he's 7-5 with a miniscule 1.43 ERA.

Kirby hit 4 dingers and 13 RBI that week. Samarano's heating up finally too. Hernandez comes back in 2 days so we look to be in good shape only 1/2 game out.

My head scout has our top pick as a 73 potential. Let's hope he's right!
