Logically I think this is it.... but the playoffs never seem to be logical....

I'll take Indy over Mississippi... then Philly over California as the "they didn't really deserve it and shouldn't win on paper but for some reason OOTP picked them to move on" series.

Then Indy over Philly 4-1 - Rex Knight MVP.
      The Great One!

      To many rings to count...

I think Indy and Philly win.

I just don't see us holding off Philly this time around.

            Justification? Just curious.

            I just don't see it.

My offense is anemic without Woodbury. Your pitching is really, really good.

Your staff is well rested, we're coming off a tough 7 game series and won't be able to roll with the top of our rotation to start the series.

Robbie Shannon destroys my pitching and is coming in on a roll. My pitchers have to face Robbie Shannon.

I'm not sure I see one advantage on our side.

I'm predicting Indy and Philly to win

Without Latham for three/four games, my offense is taking a step back. Hopefully my pitching can continue to perform well and I'm going to try to catch lightning in a bottle with the return of Don Leonard. Who knows? After one uneven series at the start of the season, we've played each other tough. If I can stay alive until Latham comes back, I might have a chance.

Philly has ridiculous pitching- obviously the offense isn't the same without Woodbury but it still has many capable hitters. It's going to go 7 games either way, a great matchup.

Hey, 1 person voted for me! I'll probably be driving back home (visiting parents today) so I won't be around when the sim gets posted.

You just basically explained why I think you'll win.

I have one hitter, Robbie Shannon. Your offense is littered with guys with VORP's in the 20's and above. Mine is not.

Plus, your staff is built to dominate in playoff baseball.

I think your offense is little bit more than just Robbie Shannon.

We were 9th in the IL in runs scored and that was with Mel Woodbury playing 5/6ths of the season. No one on my current active roster had 70 RBIs and only one player eclipsed 70 runs scored. I just don't think we were terribly productive consistently on offense this year for a variety of reasons.

What would the players think if real GMs talked like this.

"Our team doesn't have what it takes you guys should win easily."

"How can you say that, our team has gone as far as they possibly can, your team is way too strong for us."

They'd be fired in a NY minute. Show some confidence in the teams you have built or helped build in Brad's case.

I guess we are competing a bit in underselling our teams, huh?

I would however feel a bit more confident if Mr. Miyagi could come in and treat Woodbury's ribs like he fixed Daniel LaRusso's leg at the All Valley Karate Tournament.

                        I'm inspired

Mississippi is going to carry the proud lineage of the Lager division into the BLB championship series.

                        Count it

You also wouldn't constantly put your players on a trade block in a public forum and bash them for 'sucking'.

Ok, I'll play by Riverman's rules (sort of).

We're going to win. But I don't like my starters outside of Abe/Gauina.

                            Did I do that right??

I think Cali beats Philly, but it'll be close.
