    What are injuries set to?

Default OOTP X has a lot more injuries than 9 but you also have a lot more control over the injury system.

I've heard a lot of people are using "low" with good results.

I don't have OOTP X, but my overall impression of 9 (and previous versions) is that the series needs a greater number of day-to-day injuries, and fewer season-ending injuries.

Based on what I've seen so far it seems like some people would prefer not to but nobody has said they will quit the league if we convert to X. I'm leaning heavily towards converting for the following reasons:

            - Converting to X after another season doesn't make sense timing wise. Players would need to purchase X for possibly just 1 season
            - Will be difficult to find new owners the longer we stick with 9
            - OOTP X is stable and conversion seems to work well
            - The conversion to XI will be much more elegant if we convert to X first
            - The new features X offers (injuries, arbitration, etc)
            - Makes the commish job much easier with faster report generation, which Clay can confirm is the most time consuming piece of the sim process.

If we do convert there will be a short break while waiting for the final patch. During this time we would discuss and vote on any rule changes brought on by OOTP X.

Last chance to get your opinions in.

They added a frequency field to the injury database so this can definitely be configured. The only major problem that I know of with the system is that position players get injured too often in relation to pitchers but this exists in ootp 9 as well.

These are the fields that can be edited in the injury file. The key absence is the Season Ending Possible Bool so now all injuries use the min Inj Time and max Inj Time to determine the duration.

              min Inj Time
              max Inj Time
              DTD %
              Career Ending Possible Bool
              While Pitching/Throwing Bool
              While Running/Sliding Bool
              Collision Bool
              HBP/Fight Bool
              Illness Bool
              Body Part Code
              Diagnosis
              descriptive phrase
              frequency (1 = rare .. 5 = common)

I would like to wait one more season while any issues from any patches get ironed out. But obviously I'll go along with whatever.

I'm not sure where to post this, but I have a question about a certain feature of OOTPX.

In OOTP 9 there were 4 choicesunder the Import/Export button:

                  Export Team
                  Import Team
                  Export Team via FTP
                  Import Team via FTP

In OOTPX it appears that the Import Team via FTP choice is removed, at least in 2 leagues I am now involved with. Does anyone know if this is a league file specific change or if it is universal to all OOTPX games?

I have the game loaded on two separate machines and the Import Team via FTP was a quick/easy way to send my changes to myself. Now I have to Export Team, email my changes and then Import Team. Not that big of a deal, I'm just curious if this is a game version change or a league by league choice.

It's an across the board change. I did notice that, but I don't know why it was changed.

Thanks Spot, I appreciate the news even if it is disappointing.
