I like the idea of making the off-season more exciting, but I also wouldn't mind seeing a rookie level minor league.

Both sound good to me. So whatever one we decide on, I am with.

I'd choose Feeder League of those two options. My only question is would the entire Draft Pool then come from those 20 Feeder League Schools? That would be kind of screwy.

          Nope. :D

I don't think I fully understand the "feeder league" idea. How would this compare to current MLB?

Like College. A feeder league is one of the new features. It's basically an unaffiliated league that will feed players into the draft. I forget the exact numbers, but a feeder league of 20 teams might send it's best 10 players or so into the BLB draft every year. You can set them up to mimic college so players would only stay in the feeder league for 4 years.

Can we name them after the Top 20 talent producing Universities in the US?

                  That'd be kind of sweet.

No, only a certain amount per league. I think the average is around 5-7 players per year, depending the age restrictions on the league. If they move through the leagues quicker, it will create more per year. The rest of the draft is generated the same as now.

I like the idea of a feeder league but would this take place during the winter or would it coincide with the regular season?

Hopefully take place during the winter (before the draft class is created).

I like the idea of a feeder league, especially if we can run it in the offseason. Especially like the college idea, since I follow college baseball. I'm not too big on the idea of adding another level of minor leagues, due to the file size problem you mentioned, and also due to the complication of it. The 3 minor leagues we have now are more than enough for me, I don't know if another level is such a good idea.

I'm all for adding to the game but during the first few months of the season (when I'm actually somewhat still in the race) I probably spend at least an hour working on my team (including minor leagues). I wouldn't mind adding something that would require minimal upkeep and that wouldn't include the current league since I sometimes spend a lot of time just shuffling players around.

So, short answer is feeder league sounds like something that I might be interested in.

The problem with a feeder league is the need to add another manager for each one. I'm not sure the benefits (5-7 players per year) is worth it.

I think I am the only person against a Winter league so I have no suggestions.
