I don't want to screw up anyone who didn't get tonight's file yet. Spot????
What happens if you miss a sim download? What do people do when they are away on vacation? Don't they just download the most up-to-date league file when they get back?

Wouldnt you just import all the files, run the sim for 1 day, and post it?

The only things they'll miss are the news files if they don't get the download, I think.

I don't think it'll be a problem. Just post inning by inning for suspense's sake.

By the way, closer Grant Lewis went down for three weeks. Which is fucking fantastic. The 3rd key pitcher I have lost in as many weeks.

If you load 8 days into the file then the only issue will be all of the people who have already gotten the file will get repeat news stories in their game. No harm will be done. I think that is preferable to loading only one day and all the people who didn't get it will miss the previous 7 days worth of everything.

Looks like Robby Shannon has won the first ever Triple Crown in BLB history. Tied with Solis for average, but still 1st nonetheless.

he finished second. you have to go out to the next decimal point (at least IRL they do) to determine the batting champion and Solis edged him out.

oh, well in that case LOL

Wilkerson gets hurt and Shannon misses the Triple Crown by thousandths of a point. California FTW

Yeah, that's the only thing that would happen.

                        Let's do it!

Well, we're going out early in the playoffs, but after losing 3 of our top 5 pitchers, pretty happy to make it to the postseason again. A 3-4 week was enough to hold off Dallas and all. I think without injuries could have taken the Ale. But hey, some playoff $ and a chance to plunk some Clowns...can't go wrong with that.

                            Virginia Colonials (82-80)

                            2-1 vs Washington
                            2-2 vs Morgantown

                            WHAT WENT RIGHT:

                            - Nate 'The Skull' Magness wins 2 more games, grabs the IL Pitcher of the Month award for September, moves his ERA down to 2.85, reappears on the Top Players List for the first time since '85, gets a small bump on the October 1st rescout and, arguably, at least puts his name in the hat for IL Pale Ale (maybe 3rd place area).

                            - Joe Arrendondo gets off the snide and wins a game with a solid outing.

                            - Pancho Herrera has a bounceback start and wins his 10th. Not a great Rookie Campaign, but he's 19 and still developing.

                            - My young corp all played well this last sim hopefully setting the table for a nice lineup in '88. Artie Rhodes is starting to look like a natural in the leadoff spot. Started all 7 games and hit .500/.548/.607/1.155.

                            WHAT WENT WRONG:

                            - Bullpen blew at least two winnable games including the one that would have given us the sweep and season win over Washington.

                            - At least one of my players (that I won't mention) took a ratings hit. Not convinced it's something to be concerned with... but you never know.

                            - Jerry Collins got hit hard again. That's why we have September call-ups... this kid isn't ready quite yet.

                            - Losing two to a Morgantown team that doesn' really want to win at this point is not cool.

                            To many rings to count...

WC on the other hand derailed Carolina's outright title by taking 2 of 3 and then hung tough and salvaged a demoralizing (for me anyways) split in the final game of 4.

Oh well. Let's do this! Are we going to do a sim prior to Sunday?
Yeah, I probably ought to learn to keep my mouth shut.

You on the other hand, dear brother, need to learn to write logically. How can you say I had no affect on the Bock race? By losing that last game to the Tobs, I prevented you from backing into the title while losing your finale to that has been Theodore.

I am out of town with no access to the game but I gather that Philly and Cali are both in so the loser of Los Alamos/Carolina goes home, right?

Something seems really screwed up with injuries in this game with all of the key players from playoff bound teams going down but I can't quite figure out what is wrong. I am pretty sure that if we compared BLB DLs with MLB DLs at the end of the year the latter would be a lot larger yet I don't ever recall as many key players going down IRL the last couple of months of a season as we have seen here. One difference is probably that IRL a lot of relievers, who tend to be less critical, get hurt, while here the injuries tend to happen to other players.
