I edited my post because I was actually expecting a better comeback. You let me down. BTW, my wife is pregnant, so her boobies are like balloons.

I'm still stunned that you didn't make your trademark style of joke.

Or was that your trademark style of joke....I can't tell.

You're taking this thread off topic, assclown.

As for OOTP 2007, $40 for a new installment is a no-brainer. It's safe to say I've got my money's worth from OOTP 2006.

Quite a testimonial coming from the same budget-conscious skinflint who bought Viva Pinata....

I believe there will be a small discount for pre-orders and possibly a small discount for registered online leagues. I stress the "possibly" on that last part.

Since I quit smoking, I think finding an "extra" $40 will be quite easy!

I'll be extremely busy at work on the projected release date and probably won't have time to get involved with a new version until about April 15.

I'm also skeptical that the game will work well before the first patch or so.

One of the great things about this version is the changeover is pretty easy. You can literally copy your blb.lg folder from OOTP 2006 to OOTP 2007 and it will pick it right up.

I will make the switch at release. I'm loving this league and look forward to the next few seasons of growing my team, relocating, and potential expansion.

I'm telling everyone I know about OOTP and the BLB... unfortunately... most of the people I know are already here... :?

No way we should switch right away. It's inevitable that BETA testers won't find all the bugs. Not a knock against the job they do, it's just a fact. When the game is released and there are 4 - 5 hundred people playing it, more bugs will be found. That's a no brainer, and rushing into a new version on release is not a good idea at all. There isn't a game on the market that doesn't have bugs when released.

We should wait and make sure everything is stable before jumping in.
It takes neither courage nor intelligence to cheer for a team only when that team wins. The true test of a fan's mettle is the same as it is for a player: Were you there when you were needed?

I agree. I plan on giving everyone an adequate amount of time to play the game before switching over. We're in the unique position of having 3 beta testers as part of this league, but I'm sure more issues will pop up after release.

I will say this though. The first beta build of 07 I got was more stable than the actual release of 06.

Andrew, your right, 2007 is much more stable, already, and we have 2 months to go.

As was said before, we are passed the feature adding stage and are now just reporting/fixing bugs, so my guess is that there wont be any huge issues. Also remember that this beta team is bigger than last years team, so that helps as well.

I do believe that I'll be purchasing OOTP 2007 shortly after release...expansion upgrade and stats-based AI has me excited :)

I got an email this morning for 20% off of 2007 if I pre-order. I'll be putting my order in this week.
