Of course I am kidding; I am planning on sweeping both of them and with a little help from WC I'll be in.

          I hate you all.

There, I hope that squashes the overwhelming love in this thread.

You can thank me later, Riverman.

I'm out watching the upstart Washington Nationals tomorrow night so I don't care about a live SIM...just get me to the playoffs so I can get the $$.

Save the trouble of going tomorrow and wait for Friday.

Stras gets introduced and throws out the first pitch and the team is selling $1 tickets in honor of Stras being the #1 pick.

I might go on out to support the new local legend.

How can you support Strasburg? I thought you hated him?

If my friend didn't have free box seats for tonight perhaps that would be an option. Of course, this is the Nationals, so I would MUCH rather pay $0 tix over $1 tix.

I really hope he doesn't throw out his arm during the first pitch...

I do hate him. I love the team though, so it'd be nice to see a full stadium for once.

Why do you hate him? I don't think the contract negotiation should be a reason....that was obvious driven by Boras. I think without Strasburg finally saying he just wants to play ball, Boras would have never caved. Now if it's because Strasburg is just a douche in real life, then that's fine!

I think just think he'll be more Ben McDonald than say Tim Lincecum.

I should rephrase and say I don't hate the kid... I just don't see the hype.

I don't know much about the kid's personality... but I do hope his skills are legit. I'd love to see the Nationals get a boost. Hell... I wish they were still in Montreal. I loved the Expos. I remember really getting into the Expos back in like '79 or '80. They were "my National League" for a few years there. I loved Steve Rogers. I still remember him totally outclassing Steve Carlton in that '81 series. Loved that team.

Same, I actually have an Expos hat that I wear frequently.

Weren't you under 10 when the Expos left Montreal?

I meant that in the nicest way possible.
